Tom Flynn, PhD, is a published poet and essayist. He graduated from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2005 with a Doctorate in Mythological Studies. He also has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and a masters in public health.
Tom researched and wrote about grotesque images in contemporary films (Fight Club, Terminator) as well as in Franz Kafka's 'The Metamorphosis.' He utilized the research of James Hillman, Freud, Donna Haraway, and Julia Kristeva.
He lives in the Seattle area and commutes to work at Puget Sound Energy in a Toyota Prius.
Tom enjoys travel and has traveled extensively, including much of the United States, Europe, the Americas, Australia, New Zealand and Bali.
